What Brings 2007 in Cell Phone World?

In contrast to 2006, 2007 is going to be a truly revolutionary year. Cell phone manufacturers have announced a number of improvements in the field with a 'fat' addition of high-end technology:

  • Samsung is working at a far reaching elaboration - the smallest CMOS sensor of 3 megapixels. This will whip up cell phone manufacturers to create very slim cell phone cameras. With the implementation of CMOS sensor, camera's block will lessen up to 30%.

The new ultra-slim 2" screen will feature a resolution of 240x320 pixels and a weight of 3.5 g (about 0.123 ounces). These novelties will be available to cell phones manufacturers in the second half of 2007.

As for finished products, there are several models of cell phones and smartphones that are going to come this year:

MOTOROKR E6 , is the thinnest and slickest entertainment PDA cell phone ever created. It was also known as Motorola E690. Some of the main features are: thickness -14.5 mm, 2.0 megapixel CMOS camera, integrated MP3 player, document viewer for Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluetooth, HTML browser, removable memory card slot, 2GB full SD card support, 8MB memory, 2.4" TFT external display with touch screen technology.

Nokia N95 , this is the most expected Pocket PC. Nokia N95 will include a 5 megapixel camera, 150MB internal memory, integrated GPS, TV-Out, WiFi, HSDPA (3.5G), microSD, Bluetooth (including A2DP), and IrDA. It will also have a 2.6" QVGA screen. This Pocket PC will be released in Europe in the first half of 2007.

Sony Ericsson Ai is truly revolutionary when it is about design. It targets to the market of slim and stylish phones, dominated by Motorola's RAZR, SLVR, and KRZR lines and LG's Chocolate phones. The rumors say that it will be a super slim high-end model of only 9.4 mm (0.370 inch). It will also feature 2GB hard drive, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus and Xenon flash, FM radio, touch sensitive buttons. It is supposed that it will have two versions of shape - a candybar and a slider.

Sony Ericsson W44S is a multimedia flip phone. This phone weights 46 g (1.623 ounces). It supports one-seg digital TV broadcast and digital radio. The phone has a 3" screen with a resolution of 240 x 432. The TFT screen can be switched horizontally, plus you can extend the hidden antenna to get a better reception. The phone comes with Bravia RealityMax technology. It is equipped with 3.17 CMOS camera with auto-focus, 115 MB of built in memory, dual stereo speaker and IrDA.

Fujitsu Four-way Slider Phone is a totally new approach towards cell phone design. This phone is designed for more than making calls. It is landscape-oriented, meaning that one of its main function is browsing. It is equipped with a full keyboard with touch-sensitive buttons. This phone features a virtual keypad which slides out to the left, right, up or down.

2007 also promises to bring us double-screened cell phones, solar powered cell phones and 300GB hard drive for laptops. Nearest future belongs to high-end technologies, mobile telephone marching in front of the parade.
